Kurosuke also called Susuwatari, known as "soot sprites" or "dust bunnies", is the name of a fictitious sprite that was devised by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, known from the famous anime-productions My Neighbor Totoro (1988) and Spirited Away (2001) where, in the former, they are identified as "black soots" in early subtitles. These golf ball-sized, pitch-black and fuzzy-haired beings with two large eyes are known for hovering around in dark corners or an empty house. They make a squeaky murmuring sound when excited, and dissolve into powder (soot) if crushed.
Totoro is a character in the Japanese animated film "My Neighbor Totoro" by Studio Ghibli in 1988. Totoro is a giant furry creature with grey fur and a beige belly. He has big eyes, pointy ears, long whiskers along with large paws and long claws. He is the spirit of the forest and lives in a beautiful forest. This film was released 30 years ago, but he is still loved by many people.
